Lunomi Account Deletion
Last updated: 31 August 2026
You can delete your Lunomi account in two ways: from inside the app, or on this page. Both delete the same things, and both take effect immediately. You do not need to reinstall Lunomi.
1. Delete your account inside the app
This is the simplest way if you are still signed in.
- Open Lunomi and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to your account page — the Profile button on the home screen.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
- Confirm when you are asked. The account is deleted and you are signed out.
2. Delete your account here
If you cannot open the app, or you have uninstalled it, you can delete your account from this page using your username and the recovery code you were shown when you created it.
The recovery code is how we know the account is yours. We hold only a scrambled form of it, so we cannot read it, look it up, or tell it to anyone — including to someone pretending to be you.
This deletes your Lunomi account permanently and cannot be undone.
Your username becomes free for anyone else to take, and your friends, streaks, Compete results and medals are removed. Learning data saved only on your own device is not affected.
Your account has been deleted.
There is nothing left for us to remove. If Lunomi is still installed, you can keep using Learn and Play without an account, or create a new account at any time.
If you have lost your recovery code
If you still know your password, open the app, sign in, and use the Delete account button there. You can also get a new recovery code from the account screen at any time.
If you have lost both your password and your recovery code, nobody can open the account any more — including us. We cannot verify that it is yours, and we will not delete an account on an unverified request, because deleting the wrong one cannot be undone. Such an account holds a username, game results and streaks, and can never be signed into again. You are welcome to write to us about it, and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do.
We will never ask you for your password or your recovery code by email. Anyone who does is not acting on Lunomi's behalf.
What deletion covers
Deleting your Lunomi account is intended to delete the account and its associated server-side Lunomi data, including where applicable:
- your Supabase authentication account, including your hashed password;
- the hashed form of your recovery code;
- your public Lunomi username and profile;
- your friendships and pending friend requests;
- your Compete and challenge results;
- your streak information;
- your podium and achievement counts, and related online progress data.
What stays on your device
Lunomi keeps some learning and application data locally on your device so that it works offline — your settings, the decks and cards you made, and your progress in the games. This data is not on our servers and is not affected by deleting your account.
It is removed when you clear Lunomi's app data in your phone's settings, or when you uninstall the app.
Before you delete
Account deletion cannot be undone. The username becomes free for anyone to take again, and creating a new account afterwards gives you an empty one: the friends, streaks and results from the old account are gone.
